Open Days, Events and Information Sessions

Due to the current situation, we are unable to attend many of our usual events and information sessions in person. However, there is now a wide range of experiences available online including virtual open days, information sessions and webinars.

We will endeavour to keep this page up to date with events as and when we hear about them. If you would like to have your event included please get in touch.

BMet are also holding an Inclusive Support Online Event on 3rd February 4.30pm - 5.30pm. This event is for future students, parents and carers of students with Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs), Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those who would like to know more about the inclusive support offered at BMet. Information Events

Here at Streetly we usually run a very popular Careers Fair for all pupils at the beginning of the year. This year, with Covid restrictions, we are unable to offer an event in school. However, our partner organisation the Black Country Consortium are offering a Virtual Careers Expo which will provide pupils and parents from across the region with access to a wide range of information on careers advice, employment, apprenticeships, skills and training programmes, FE and HE and SEN opportunities all under one virtual roof!

The Expo launches on 14th January, it will remain open to access for 4 weeks and you can visit as many times as you like in that time.

New Year, New Start - Connexions Careers event


The annual Connexions New Year New Start Careers event to motivate and inspire young people aged 14-19, through Microsoft Teams this year is on 25th –  29th January 5.30pm - 6.30pm each day.

Each day is occupationally focussed with Apprenticeship and HE information, videos, presentations, Top Ten Jobs, live Q & A with Connexions Sandwell Careers Advisers and so much more.

RAF Learn Live event

The RAF are delivering a live streamed interactive event on 3rd February 6pm - 9pm. The event will be hosted on the Learn Live website and will include detailed information on life in the RAF including the different roles available and what each entails. Questions on key topics submitted by the virtual audience will be addressed in a live Q+A session with RAF personnel.

From 8th - 12th February UCAS will be hosting a series of webinars in their Virtual Apprenticeships Event to help students, parents and teachers to discover the world of apprenticeships.
