The Streetly Academy value Careers education and the key elements of our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) Programme is to develop the self awareness, opportunity awareness, decision making and transition planning skills of our students. It also raises aspirations, broadens horizons and breakdown stereotypes.
Our CEIAG programme forms an integral part of the whole school. It incorporates both formal careers education, information, advice and guidance activities and other opportunities linked to each subject such as bespoke lessons, external speakers, educational visits or developing our staff’s knowledge of the careers and opportunities linked to their subject areas.
The impact of our careers programme is measured using baseline and attitude surveys carried out once per term, evaluation forms following large scale events and informal discussions and learning walks.
