Our School App Stay connected on the go...
The end of Year 11 may mark the end of your school days, but you still need to stay in education or training until the end of the school year when you turn 18.
So what can you do next? Your main choices are below, take a look at this short video from BBC Bitesize, download the My Choices guide and then click on each heading to find out more about each of your options.
It’s worth looking ahead, as decisions you make now may narrow your choices later. Fancy a particular course? Find out where it’s likely to lead in future. Have a career or university course in mind? Work out what do you need to do now to set you on the right path. It can also help to keep an open mind – find out what’s available and then see how each option could work for you.
In Year 11, you will have an individual Career Guidance Interview with Ms Stevenson. Together you will create an electronic action plan which will be shared with you, your parents, your form tutor and the pastoral team. This will help you to focus, plan and make decisions about your future.
If you need help or advice, speak to your teachers or Ms Stevenson.
If you want to speak to a careers advisor outside of school, visit the National Careers Service website.
