Sixth Form Dress Code

We expect all of our students to look smart at all times and to set a good example to Years 7-11. Students should be dressed in keeping with the manner expected of a professional environment. Any breaches of the dress code run the risk of you being sent home to change.

In order to give clear guidance, we have summarised below the expectations for all Sixth Formers, and these will apply Monday-Friday. The code has been designed to ensure that everyone looks smart, but costs can be kept down.

Ladies

Plain BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE skirt or trousers Skirts should be below or just above the knee

Trousers should be loose, not tight fitting.

Plain BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE suit

Plain BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE dress

Blouse or shirt

BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE jumper or smart, business-style jacket

Shoes, leather or leather look, smart ankle boots

Not permitted

Skirts that are too short

Tight fitting trousers

Jeggings

Denim-style jeans, skirts or jackets

No strappy, or revealing tops.

Leather skirts or jackets

Facial jewellery (e.g nose studs, eyebrow piercing)

Hoodies/ sweatshirts

Trainers/ canvas or leisure shoes

High heels

If worn, boots should be smart - not Doc Martens/ Converse trainer style

Gentlemen

Plain BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE suit

OR plain BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE blazer/ suit style jacket with plain black, grey, or navy blue trousers

Plain BLACK, GREY or NAVY BLUE jumper (optional)

Shirt with a collar

Tie

Shoes, leather or leather look, smart ankle boots

Not permitted

Jeans or canvas trousers

T-shirts, polo shirts

Track suits

Facial jewellery (e.g. nose studs, eyebrow piercings)

Trainers/ canvas shoes/ leisure shoes

Hoodies/ sweatshirts.

Leather jackets

If worn, boots should be smart - not Doc Martens/ Converse style


All students will be expected to wear their Streetly photo-ID badge at all times on their lanyard, which will be provided by the school. Outside coats should not be worn inside the building, in line with main school policy.
